PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers women's soccer will be featured on CSTV on Friday, Oct. 5, when the Scarlet Knights' game against Princeton will be broadcast on tape delay. RU faces the Tigers on Tuesday, Oct. 2.
The Scarlet Knights, 6-3-1 overall, 1-1-1 in the BIG EAST, and ranked No. 24 by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) as of Sept. 26, will face a Tigers team that has struggled this season, with an overall record of 3-4-1.
"Any opportunity you get to have your program exposed to a national television audience is great," said eighth-year head coach Glenn Crooks. "I am sure it will be a fantastic game. Playing Princeton is always fun because it's a great in-state rivalry. The game always has an impact on the rest of the season and the NCAA Tournament, and I'm sure that will be the case this year."
Announcing the game will be Jason Knapp and Shep Messing. CSTV is seen in more than 20 million homes via cable and satellite on cable systems across the country.
"It's an honor and a privilege to be on CSTV," said Crooks. "Hopefully we will put on a good show."
CSTV is widely available on cable systems across the country, including Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, Cablevision, Charter, Insight, Bright House Networks, Mediacom, Insight, RCN, Advanced Cable and Bresnan. It is also available on DIRECTV's Total Choice Premier Package Channel 610 and DISH Network's America's Top 120 Package Channel 152.
