PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers wrestling staff will host the 2007 Scarlet Knights Clinic on Sunday, Oct. 21 for all interested coaches, including youth and high school. The clinic will include instruction on different coaching techniques and strategies, and will also offer participants the opportunity to get to know the RU staff.
"I think all the coaches in attendance will benefit greatly from the different techniques, strategies, match preparation, and training methods we will provide," said head coach Scott Goodale. "Our staff is also very excited about having the opportunity to promote the Rutgers University Wrestling Program."
The clinic will take place at the College Avenue Gym located on the Rutgers campus and will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Oct 21. A number of renowned wrestling coaches will be in attendance, including head coach of national power Blair Academy Jeff Buxton.
"It's great to have Jeff as a guest clinician," said Goodale. "He is obviously one of the best coaches in the country and consistently runs one of the best wrestling programs in the nation in Blair Academy."
Registration for the event is $40 per coach and will include a t-shirt and lunch. Coaches can pre-register by sending a check payable to RU Wrestling, care of Coach Goodale at the College Avenue Gym, 130 College Ave., New Brunswick, NJ 08901.
