Prince Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Piscataway, N.J. - Rutgers University guard Epiphanny Prince (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was named to the BIG EAST women's basketball weekly honor roll, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
The sophomore averaged 18 points in the Scarlet Knights' 2-0 week. In addition, Prince averaged 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals in league wins at Marquette and over Seton Hall. She shot 11-of-20 from the field, including knocking down a pair of three-pointers.
The Brooklyn, N.Y. product had a game-best 17 points in a 65-61 win over the Golden Eagles on Tuesday. She added a team-high eight rebounds and three steals.
In a 69-47 win over Seton Hall on Saturday, Prince collected 19 points and 10 rebounds. She hit a pair of three-pointers and the second moved the sophomore's career triple total to 59, tenth-best on the program's all-time chart.
The second-year player paces the Scarlet Knights in scoring (14.1) and steals (2.9). She is second in the BIG EAST in steals per game.
No. 5/5 Rutgers (13-2, 3-0 BIG EAST) returns to action on Tuesday, Jan. 15 traveling to Washington, D.C. for a 7:30 p.m. contest at Georgetown.
