Rutgers Travels to Syracuse on Saturday

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers men's soccer team (4-4-3, 1-3-2 BIG EAST) will travel to New York for the second of its five game road trip to take on conference foe Syracuse (5-3-3, 2-3-1) on Saturday, October 11 at 7:00 p.m.
The Scarlet Knights are led by sophomore Dilly Duka (Montville, N.J.) who has six goals, a mark which ranks third in the conference. The team's remaining six goals are spread among six other players who each have one tally. Senior Kevin McFadden (Midlothian, Va.) has a squad-best and BIG EAST- leading six assists while freshman Sam Archer (Queens, N.Y.) follows with two assists.
Rutgers is 7-6-1 all-time against Syracuse. The Scarlet Knights currently are on a three game win streak against the Orange, defeating them 2-1 last season at Yurcak.
Syracuse most recently lost to No. 8 ranked St. John's and previously finished in a scoreless tie with No. 9 USF. The Orange are led by senior Kyle Hall and junior Tom Perevegyencev with four goals each, followed by junior Hansen Woodruff with three. Senior Spencer Schomaker and sophomores Justin Arena and Geoff Lytle lead the team with three assists apiece.
The Scarlet Knights will play three more road matches following Saturday's contest at Princeton (Oct. 15), Cincinnati (Oct. 18) and NJIT (Oct.22).
