Rutgers Moves Up In Multiple National Polls

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – After a 1-0 win over Louisville and a 0-0 tie with Cincinnati this weekend, the Rutgers women's soccer team (10-3-1, 5-1-1) saw improvement in several of the national polls. The Scarlet Knights improved from No. 23 to No. 21 in both the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas and Soccer Times polls.
Rutgers fell one spot to No. 15 in Soccer America and moved up a spot to No. 22 in Soccerbuzz. RU is also No. 28 by Top Drawer Soccer. In the regional polls, the Knights are No. 3 in the NSCAA/adidas mid-atlantic and No. 4 in the Soccerbuzz mid-atlantic.
RU has shut out four consecutive opponents while not allowing a goal in 399 consecutive minutes. The Scarlet Knights conclude their season with a four-game road trip, starting with BIG EAST foe St. John's on Friday, Oct. 17, at 7:00 p.m.
