Rutgers Women's Soccer Remains In National Rankings

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women’s soccer team (11-4-1, 6-2-1 BIG EAST) remains in the national rankings that were released this week. The Scarlet Knights are coming off a 1-1 weekend that saw them drop a tough 1-0 contest at St. John’s on Friday before shutting out Syracuse 1-0 on Sunday.
In the latest RPI poll, RU is the second-highest BIG EAST team at No. 19 (Notre Dame is No. 5). The Scarlet Knights are also ranked by Soccer America (No. 18), Soccerbuzz (No. 23), Soccer Times (No. 23), National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas (No. 24) and Top Drawer Soccer (No. 30). In the mid-atlantic regional polls, Rutgers is ranked tied for No. 3 by NSCAA/adidas and No. 4 by Soccerbuzz.
RU is in second-place in the BIG EAST National Division with two games remaining. The Scarlet Knights close out their season with road games against No. 1 and undefeated Notre Dame (Oct. 24) and DePaul (Oct. 26).
