VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Rutgers volleyball team dropped its second BIG EAST road match in as many days, falling to Villanova 3-0 (25-10, 25-22, 25-16) Sunday afternoon at Nevin Fieldhouse.
The Scarlet Knights (1-12, 0-4) were led by freshman Hannah Curtis (Wasilla, Alaska). The middle blocker recorded a team-high seven kills on only 16 attempts for a .375 hitting percentage. Junior Jamie Godfrey (Rahway, N.J.) and sophomore Caitlin Saxton (Encinitas, Calif.) each tallied a team-high 12 digs for Rutgers.
The Wildcats (11-7, 2-1) received major contributions from Morgan Petkovich and Dana Tartazky who combined for 29 kills and eight digs. Chelsea Graman led all players with 41 assists.
The Scarlet Knights will continue their four match BIG EAST road trip next weekend, taking on St. John's Friday Oct. 10 and Connecticut Sunday Oct. 12.
