LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Rutgers women’s volleyball team was unable to pick up its first BIG EAST road win Saturday afternoon, falling to Louisville 3-0 (25-8, 25-13, 25-15) at Cardinal Arena in Louisville, Ky.
Sophomore Caitlin Saxton (Encinitas, Calif.) was one of three Scarlet Knights that tied for the team lead in kills with four. Saxton also added a team-high eight digs for Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights fall to 2-21 overall and 1-12 in BIG EAST play.
The Cardinals, who improve to 15-10 overall and 11-3 in league action, were led by Tatyana Kolesnikova. The senior outside hitter led all players with 10 kills in the win.
Rutgers will conclude its 2008 season Sunday when the Scarlet Knights travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m.
