Rutgers Set to Wrestle in Third Consecutive Tri-Meet

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers wrestling team, under the guidance of first-year head coach Scott Goodale, will wrestle in its third consecutive tri-meet when it takes on non-conference opponents Clarion and Rider in Lawrenceville, N.J., on Saturday, Feb. 2.
The Scarlet Knights will be led by junior Matt Pletcher (Eastampton, N.J.) who is 20-4 on the season with three major decisions. Redshirt senior Steve Adamcsik (Chester, N.J.) is second on the team with 19 wins, including a team-high eight major decisions.
Rutgers is 8-5, having won its previous four matches. Clarion has won two of its last three matches and comes in with an 8-10 record. The host of the tri-meet, Rider, is 3-9, but has won its previous two matches. The Scarlet Knights will face Clarion first at 3:30 p.m. before taking on Rider at 6:00 p.m. Clarion and Rider will open the tri-meet at 1:00 p.m.
