Rutgers Hosts Wrestling Camps at College Avenue Gym

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Second year head coach Scott Goodale and Rutgers wrestling open the doors of the College Avenue Gym from July 13-17 for a Team-Competition camp, as wrestlers will come from all over the country to participate. Each wrestler will compete in over 20 matches against top competition.
The camp will also have an individual tournament and will crown a "King on the Banks" at 14 different weight classes. There will also be state of the art technique sessions through out the week. Camp counselors include many of the Scarlet Knights, including Jack Barrett (Metuchen, N.J.), Brian Bollette (Newton, N.J.), Kellen Bradley (Newton, N.J.), Lamar Brown (Red Bank, N.J.), Mike Cucinotta (Gibbstown, N.J.), Mike DeMarco (Lyndhurst, N.J.), Keith Dobish (Lodi, N.J.), Paul Grogan (Netcong, N.J.), Karim Mahmoud (Wallington, N.J.), Tyler Milonas (Oak Ridge, N.J.), Chris Orzechowski (Old Bridge, N.J.) and DJ Russo (Netcong, N.J.).
Coach Goodale, RU assistant coach John Leonardis and UFC fighter and RU assistant Frank Edgar will all work at the camps. Other staff members include former NCAA All-American Nick Roy, former RU wrestler Andy Roy, Princeton head coach Chris Ayres and Jackson Memorial High School head coach Doug Withstandley.
Goodale and the wrestling program will also host a Junior-Youth Technique Camp from July 21-24 at the College Ave. Gym. Young wrestlers will have a chance to learn state of the art wrestling techniques from some of the best clinicians in the country.
