Saxton Named to UniWyo Cowgirl Classic All-Tournament Team

LARAMIE, Wyo. - Junior Caitlin Saxton (Encinitas, Calif.) of the Rutgers volleyball team was named to the UniWyo Cowgirl Classic All-Tournament Team, the tournament committee announced late Saturday night.
Saxton was one of seven student-athletes selected to the team. The 5-foot-9 outside hitter competed in all 11 games while notching a team-best 36 kills and 28 digs.
Rutgers showed improvement from match to match during the event. After falling to Wyoming and Idaho State on Friday, each by a 3-0 score, the Scarlet Knights went down to the wire with South Dakota State Saturday night but the Jackrabbits came out on top with a 15-12 fifth set score.
The Scarlet Knights will be back on the court next weekend at the Delaware Invitational. Rutgers will be joined by host Delaware, Army and Princeton at the event.
