Rutgers Volleyball Falls at St. John's

Queens. N.Y. (October 22, 2010) –The Rutgers volleyball team dropped its first match of a four-game BIG EAST road swing to rival St. John's, 3-0, at Carnesecca Arena.
The Red Storm (15-9, 2-5 BIG EAST) posted scores of 25-19, 25-22 and 25-21 to knock off the Scarlet Knights (9-12, 1-6 BIG EAST).
The Scarlet Knights were led by sophomore Stephanie Zielinski (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) who recorded 32 assists on 39 RU kills. The RU offense was paced by senior Caitlin Saxton (Encinitas, Calif.) who notched 10 kills and junior Hannah Curtis (Wasilla, Alaksa) who had five service aces.
Rutgers returns to action Sunday when it travels to Storrs, Conn., to take on the UConn Huskies in a 2 p.m. matchup.
