Tricia DiPaolo Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Oct. 26, 2010) – Rutgers women’s soccer redshirt junior Tricia DiPaolo (Sparta, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced. The accolade comes after a five-point weekend for the midfielder, as the Scarlet Knights ripped off two wins and secured a bye in the BIG EAST Championship.

Coming into Friday’s match with three career points, the captain scored the game-winner against Cincinnati, pushing a Karla Schacher (Tofield, Alberta) pass into the net with the back of her foot.

Against Louisville, DiPaolo set up a give-and-go with Gina DeMaio (Parsippany, N.J.), scoring another game-winner from 15 yards out. Not satisfied with one goal, the Sparta, N.J. product assisted on a April Price (Mechanicsville, Va.) header to put the Cardinals away.

DiPaolo and the rest of the Scarlet Knight travel to Morgantown, W.Va. for the BIG EAST Quarterfinals this Sunday, Oct. 31. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
