PISCATAWAY, N.J. (November 18, 2010) -- Rutgers field hockey senior captain Jenna Bull (Oakville, Ontario) was named to the 2010 Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-Mid-Atlantic Region second team, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced today. Bull takes home the honor for the second time in her career.
“To have Jenna be recognized amongst the best players in our region is an honor,” said head coach Liz Tchou. “I’m sure she will feel good about the award, but, knowing her, she will be more excited that the team and program were regionally recognized.”
Bull, who also took home second team All-Region honors in 2008, totaled four points off a goal and two assists this season while providing lockdown defense from the midfield position and instrumental team leadership. For her career, Bull totaled 12 goals and 15 assists for 39 points.
The senior midfielder was also named to the BIG EAST First Team this season. She is the first Scarlet Knight to take this honor since Amy Lewis in 2008.
Bull helped the Scarlet Knights to secure their first BIG EAST tournament bid since the 2003 season. The Scarlet Knights ended their 2010 season with an 8-12 record.
