Rutgers Volleyball Announces Alumni Weekend Events

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (October 11, 2011) - Rutgers University volleyball has announced the schedule for its annual Alumni Weekend, slated for Nov. 11-13. Program alumni will have the opportunity to see two matches, in addition to reconnecting with old teammates and much more.
"We are looking forward to hosting this annual alumni event," said head coach CJ Werneke. "The program is thrilled to have the opportunity to bring alumni back to see the improvements we have made, meet the current coaches and players and reconnect with their school and program. We have a nice schedule of events planned, and I am excited to see their support and to show them where the program stands now."
The event will begin on Friday with registration at the College Ave Gym at 6 p.m. The complete schedule for the weekend will be given out at this time.
On Saturday, the Scarlet Knights will take on Connecticut at 2 p.m. at the College Ave Gym, followed by dinner and drinks at the Olive Branch. Everyone will have the chance to watch the conclusion of the football game between Rutgers and Army during dinner on television.
The highly anticipated Alumni Match is set for 10 a.m. on Sunday morning, lasting until approximately 11:30 a.m. when brunch will be served. RU will then take on St. John's at 2 p.m. with Senior Day festivities to take place prior to the contest.
The weekend will conclude after the match, with everyone gathering to talk to the coaches and a Scarlet R representative.
