Huffer was consistent in her round, with one bogey, one birdie and 16 pars. She finished her round with 12-straight pars.
Huffer is followed by teammates senior So-Hyun Park and freshman Kristina Nhim, who each shot one-over par, 73 to tie for second place. Park had six birdies to lead the field, sinking birdies in four of her first five holes.
Georgetown sits in second place after shooting 307 in the first round. The Hoyas were led by junior Eunae Jo and sophomore Jordan Redfield, who both shot 75 to tie for sixth place. Louisville is in third with a first-round score of 308. The Cardinals have never finished lower than second in the BIG EAST Championship.
