Sophie Wright Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (October 23, 2012) - Rutgers field hockey (8-9, 2-4 BIG EAST) sophomore Sophie Wright (Devizes, U.K.) was selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the conference office Monday.
Wright knocked in an early goal in the 2-1 conference loss to Providence over the weekend. The midfielder has tabbed six goals in her 2012 campaign putting her in second among her teammates in the category. She currently stands fourth on the team in points with 13 and has tallied career and season bests for herself across the board.
The Scarlet Knights play their final two games of the season this weekend with a home-and-away split. RU first heads to College Park, Md., on Friday, Oct. 26 for a 7 p.m. nonconference matchup. Rutgers returns home to face Columbia for its senior day on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. Seven seniors will be honored for their accomplishments as Scarlet Knights.
