NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. -- Rutgers volleyball picked up a win in its first match of the Rutgers Invitational, beating Iona in three sets at the College Ave. Gym. It was the first three-set victory of the season for the Scarlet Knights. The team won by set scores of 25-23, 25-14, 25-16.
With the win, the Scarlet Knights improve to 4-1, while Iona drops to 2-3.
Senior Kylie Orr (Kettering, Ohio) led the offensive charge with a game-high 12 kills. Junior Tracy Wright (Fair Lawn, N.J.) tallied 14 digs defensively.
Rutgers (4-1) will be back in action at 7 p.m., hosting New Hampshire.
