Rutgers Field Hockey Overnight Camp Open for Registration

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (May 21, 2013) - Join members of the Rutgers field hockey coaching staff, as well as current and former student-athletes as the Scarlet Knights host the 2013 Rutgers Elite Camp this July.
RUTGERS ELITE CAMP 2013: July 29-31
Rutgers Elite Camp is limited to high school-aged campers who will be entering grades 9 up through the freshman year of college. This is a highly competitive camp for individuals and teams. Open to any and all.
Cost: $495
Our goal is to challenge each player to improve her individual skills as well as her understanding of team concepts. The camp curriculum is creative and our diverse coaching staff will ensure a fun, high quality learning environment.
Morning and afternoon skill sessions focus on technical skill development to enhance individual play, and small games to teach the concepts and strategies of team play. Goalkeepers receive specialized individual and group training throughout the entire camp. Additional special sessions may include topics such as team dynamics, international team experiences, strength and conditioning and nutrition.
Nightly coached games culminate with a camp tournament on the last day. Campers from the same school may compete as a team(s) in the night games if the high school coach requests that arrangement.
What you get:
Reversible Jersey, water bottle, lanyard and drawstring bag
Number of Total Training Sessions: 5 skills sessions, 3 game sessions = 16 hours of total Training, roughly equals $30 per training session
What to bring:
Linens and pillows (beds are extra long)
Blanket/Comforter/Sleeping Bag (dorms are A/C)
Bath Towel/Face cloth
Shower Shoes
Toiletries
Money for Camp Store and Pizza at Night
*Additional snacks, Gatorade and water is suggested*
Hockey Equipment:
- Shoes for Wet Turf (*no grass cleats permitted)
- Shin Guards
- Mouth Guard
- Stick
- Goalkeeping Equipment (if a GK)
- Clothing for hockey and for the dorms at night
