WELCOME HOME
After playing on the road for its last three contests, the Rutgers men's soccer team returns home to Yurcak Field where it will be for six of the final seven games of the 2014 campaign. RU has only one more road trip left in the regular season at Ohio State on Oct. 25.
Rutgers returns to Big Ten action on Saturday, hosting Michigan at 7 p.m. The Scarlet Knights are looking to return back to the win column after going 0-4-1 since picking up their first Big Ten win against Wisconsin.
LEADING THE WAY
Freshman forward Jason Wright continues to lead the Scarlet Knights in scoring. Wright, who tallied both goals in RU's loss to Princeton on Tuesday night, has five goals to his name in 2014 in addition to two assists. His 10 points places his name third among all Big Ten scorers.
Wright's two goals against the Tigers gave him his second multiple scoring game of the year. The Kingston, Jamaica native also had two tallies in RU's 3-1 win against Lafayette.
NEW IN NET
Sophomore Mitchell Walier made his second appearance of the season in net for the Scarlet Knights on Tuesday at Princeton. The sophomore Scarlet Knight played the final 20 minutes of action, logging four stops.
