RU was also recognized as the No. 14 team in the country in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll - the program's highest since Nov. 10, 2009, when the squad was ranked 12th.
The Scarlet Knights closed out the weekly rankings by moving up to No. 15 in the TopDrawerSoccer poll - their highest of the season - and earned the No. 13 spot in the NCAA RPI. The fourth RPI of the season was the highest for Rutgers, which is now second in the Big Ten behind No. 7 Penn State.
Rutgers (10-1-1, 6-1-1 Big Ten) has won by shutout in four consecutive matches, not allowing a goal in the last 434:49 minutes of soccer dating back to the team's draw at Nebraska (Sept. 25).
Overall, Rutgers has been ranked or received votes in the NSCAA, TopDrawerSoccer and Soccer America simultaneously for four-straight weeks. The top-10 ranking by Soccer America is just the third all-time in program history after the team was ranked No. 9 in the NSCAA poll on Oct. 20 and 27 during the 2009 season.
The Scarlet Knights return to action this Friday against Illinois and wraps up its home season on Sunday at 1 p.m. vs. Northwestern. Both matches will be streamed live and viewable with a BTN Plus subscription.
