Rutgers Tied for Fourth at Lehigh Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Rutgers University men's golf team is tied for fourth after the first round of the Lehigh Invitational, played Saturday at Saucon Valley Country Club's par-72, 7,091-yard Grace Course.
The Scarlet Knights, the event's defending champion, shot a 309, tying with Fordham University for fourth. Towson University leads after round one with a 295.
Rutgers was led by junior Jonathan Chang, who fired a two-over 74 to tie for fourth on the individual leaderboard. Senior Jacob Stockl and freshman Toks Pedro recorded rounds of 78 and are tied for 24th.
Sophomore Michael Howe contributed a 79 and enters the final round tied for 29th. Sophomore Ryan Rose rounded out the Rutgers scorecard with an 85, tying him for 55th.
Playing as an individual, freshman Matt Holuta is tied for 29th with a 79.
The Scarlet Knights, under the leadership of third-year head coach Rob Shutte, play the second and final round of the invitational Sunday to conclude their fall season. Tee times begin at 9:30 a.m.
