
NSCAA All-Academic Team

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers men's soccer team was honored with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) College Team Academic Award for the 2013-14 academic year, it was announced on Monday by the organization.
The Scarlet Knights were one of a total of 861 collegiate soccer teams (279 men, 582 women) who posted a 3.0 or higher grade point average during the 2013-14 academic year. Both the RU men's and women's soccer teams earned the award, one of 188 schools with both their men's and women's programs recognized.
Rutgers has earned the team academic award from the NSCAA in three of the last four seasons.
"I am very proud of the team for their academic awards over the past few years. This is very important to us here at Rutgers and I thank all of our coaching staff and support staff that have helped us along the way," said head coach Dan Donigan. "Rutgers is a very prestigious institution and for all of our student-athletes to perform as well as they do, it speaks volumes about them as people and validates our philosophy that our guys commit themselves to their academic responsibilities."
