
Scaife on Naismith Watch List

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Sophomore guard Tyler Scaife (Little Rock, Ark.) has been selected as one of 50 candidates in the running to become the 2015 Naismith College Player of the Year, it was announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club.
The 50 player watch list was compiled by the Atlanta Tipoff Club's Board of Selectors, which based its criteria on player performances from the previous year and expectations for the 2014-15 college season. The Naismith College Player of the Year present by AT&T will be awarded on April 6, 2015.
In February, the Atlanta Tipoff Club's Board of Selectors will compile a mid-season list of the top 30 players in the nation.
Scaife was the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year last season, as she averaged 14.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in helping the Scarlet Knights to the 2014 WNIT Championship.
This season, Scaife leads RU at 17.0 points per game along with 3.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. She has led the Scarlet Knights in scoring in five of the season's first eight games and has reached 20+ point scoring three times this season, including a season-high 25 points against #6 UNC in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
