
Indiana Pacers Sign Kadeem Jack

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The NBA's Indiana Pacers announced Wednesday that they have signed free agent forward Kadeem Jack to a contract. A two-time team captain at Rutgers, Jack scored 1,044 points "On the Banks" from 2011-15.
Jack averaged 13.0 points and 6.4 rebounds-per-game as a senior in 2014-15 to earn All-Metropolitan honors for a second consecutive season. He led RU in rebounding 13 times and paced the team in scoring on 11 occasions. Jack had three double-doubles and reached double figure scoring 19 times, posting at least 20 points in five contests. In the Big Ten rankings, Jack was third in offensive rebounding (2.5) and 10th in rebounding.
Jack ranks tied for 11th in Rutgers history with 100 blocks and is one of 41 players to eclipse 1,000 career points.
In addition to his achievements on the court, Jack also excelled in the classroom at Rutgers. He was a 2014-15 Big Ten All-Academic honoree after being recognized on the Big East All-Academic Teams in both 2012-13 and 2011-12. He earned a degree in Journalism and Mass Media Studies with a minor in Labor and Employment Relations this past May.
Jack will seek to become the 11th Rutgers player to compete in the NBA or ABA, joining James Bailey (1980-88), John Battle (1986-95), Hollis Copeland (1980-82), Quincy Douby (2007-09), Bob Greacen (1970-72), Roy Hinson (1984-91), Eddie Jordan (1978-84), Bob Lloyd (1968-69), Hamady Ndiaye (2011-14) and Phil Sellers (1976-77).
