Prince Named Second Team All-WNBA

NEW YORK - New York Liberty guard and former Scarlet Knight Epiphanny Prince was named Second Team All-WNBA, earning all-league honors for the first time in her career, it was announced on Thursday.
The former Rutgers star helped the Liberty advance to the Eastern Conference finals, the team’s first postseason appearance since 2012 and first trip to the conference finals since 2010. Prince was the Liberty’s second leading scorer at 15.0 points per game, along with 2.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
In the postseason, Prince set a Liberty playoff scoring record with 26 points on 3-of-5 shooting from 3-point range against Washington and notched 17 points, going 4-of-6 from long range, in the Eastern Conference Finals win over Indiana.
Prince was the Eastern Conference Player of the Week twice in August and later earned Eastern Conference Player of the Month as she guided New York to an 8-2 record and clinched a playoff berth. During the month, she paced all Eastern Conference players in steals (2.6 spg), tied for second in assists (4.2 apg) and ranked fifth in scoring (17.8 ppg). She also finished fourth in field goal percentage (.527) and free throw shooting (.939).
