STONY BROOK, N.Y. -The Rutgers women's lacrosse team fell, 16-4, Tuesday night against No. 12/8 Stony Brook at LaValle Stadium. Four different Scarlet Knights notched goals in the contest, with redshirt senior Lauren Sbrilli (Martinsville, N.J.) and junior Halley Barnes (Garnet Valley, Pa.) each recording two points to lead the charge.
Goalkeeper Candice Dandridge (Cherry Hill, N.J.) made eight saves and collected a pair of ground balls, also causing a turnover. Seeing her first-career action in cage, sophomore Christina Daniskas (Montclair, N.J.) made a save and allowed one goal.
RU (1-9) and Stony Brook (8-0) split draws, 11-11, as senior Jenny Vlahos (Manhasset, N.Y.) led the Scarlet Knights with three on the night. The three draw controls put Vlahos over the century mark, making her the fifth player in program history to accomplish that feat.
Sbrilli inched closer to the 100th goal of her career with another score Tuesday night, giving her 97 at Rutgers. She leads the Scarlet Knights with 24 points (21g, 3a) this season.
RU opens Big Ten Conference play Saturday at High Point Solutions Stadium against No. 15/16 Penn State at 1 p.m. The matchup will be aired live on BTN, with Pete Medhurst and Courtney Connor on the call.

· Barnes recorded multiple assists for the second time this season.
· Rookie Amanda Casten (Brick, N.J.) made her sixth-straight start.
· Junior Kim Kolodny (Farmingdale, N.J.) was one of four goal-scorers for Rutgers. She has scored in all but one game this season.
· Also scoring for Rutgers was junior Amanda Turturro (Farmingdale, N.Y.). She now has 10 goals and became RU's fourth double-digit scorer this season.
· Freshman Paige Paratore (West Deptford, N.J.) made the first appearance of her career.
· Freshman Kerri Puckhaber (Wantagh, N.Y.)scored again Tuesday and has contributed offensively with points in four consecutive games.
