PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Scarlet Knights dropped a home contest against No. 13/13 Penn on Wednesday afternoon, falling 17-7.Junior Kim Kolodny (Farmingdale, N.Y.)paced the squad with her second consecutive hat trick.
Freshman Joanna Reilly (Spring Lake, N.J.)scored her first career goal, whileHalley Barnes (Garnet Valley, Pa.),Amanda Turturro (Farmingdale, N.Y.), andJenny Vlahos (Manhasset, N.Y.)also tallied scores for the Scarlet Knights.
The loss cuts the Rutgers advantage to 9-7 in the all-time series.
Rutgers travels to face former conference rival UConn on Saturday, March 7 at 1 p.m.
Game Notes
- Kolodny has scored at least two goals in all five of RU's games and posted back-to-back hat tricks. She leads RU with 12 goals this season.
- Junior captain Kristin Kocher (Medford, N.J.) tied her career-high with five draw controls.
- Reilly scored the first goal of her career against the Quakers
