PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers men's cross country team was recognized for its efforts in the classroom as the Scarlet Knights were named a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team for the 2014 season.
The Scarlet Knights were among the 180 men's programs that earned All-Academic Team honors. To qualify for the honor, teams must carry at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
Back in December, Rutgers had two Scarlet Knights - Nicholas Price (Old Bridge,N.J.) and Jaimin Vekaria (Clinton, N.J.) - named to the Big Ten All-Academic Team for earning a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or higher with two or more years in residence.
