PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- The Rutgers women's lacrosse team dropped a 17-7 game against No. 20/20 Ohio State Thursday evening in the Big Ten Women's Lacrosse Tournament Quarterfinals at High Point Solutions Stadium. Senior attacker Melissa Arthur (Marlton, N.J.) sparked the attack with two goals, as redshirt senior midfielder Lauren Sbrilli (Martinsville, N.J.) added a goal and an assist.

With the win over the fifth-seeded Scarlet Knights, No. 4 Ohio State advances to play No. 1 Maryland Friday evening in the second semifinal contest. The Buckeyes' matchup with the Terrapins will begin 35 minutes after No. 2 Penn State and No. 3 Northwestern wrap up the first semifinal, which begins at 5:30 p.m. Northwestern defeated No. 6 Michigan, 13-9, in the first quarterfinal Thursday to advance.

Both Friday games will air on national television on Big Ten Network. Joe Beninati and Courtney Connor will call the action live.
