RU to Compete in MGM Grand Main Event

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers men's basketball will play Creighton in the MGM Grand Main Event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Monday, Nov. 23. The Scarlet Knights will then meet either Clemson or UMass in the championship/consolation game of the Event on Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the same site.
Prior to the two contests in the Silver State, Rutgers will host two games at the RAC as part of the Event. The Scarlet Knights will welcome Howard on Sunday, Nov. 15, before playing Central Arkansas on Saturday, Nov. 21.
Game times and television information for contests, as well as the complete conference and non-conference schedules, will be announced at a later date.
The MGM Grand Main Event augments a challenging non-conference slate in 2015-16. The Scarlet Knights travel to Carnesecca Arena on Thursday, Nov. 19, to play St. John's in the Inaugural Gavitt Tipoff Games, host Wake Forest on Monday, Nov. 30, in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge and welcome Seton Hall to the RAC on Saturday, Dec. 5, in the Garden State Hardwood Classic.
Rutgers will have home-and-home meetings with Michigan State, Ohio State, Illinois, Minnesota and Nebraska during its Big Ten Conference campaign in 2015-16. The Scarlet Knights will also welcome Indiana, Iowa, Penn State and Purdue to the RAC next season. On the road in Big Ten play in 2015-16, Rutgers will travel to Maryland, Michigan, Northwestern and Wisconsin.
