Men's Hoops Announces Non-Conference Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers men's basketball hosts nine regular season, non-conference games and plays 13 non-league contests during the 2015-16 regular season. Under the leadership of head coach Eddie Jordan, the Scarlet Knights play 31 games overall (18 at home), including 13 contests against teams that earned NCAA (10) or NIT (3) bids last season.
During the non-conference slate, Rutgers hosts Wake Forest (Nov. 30) in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge and Seton Hall (Dec. 5) in the Garden State Hardwood Classic. On the road in non-league play, RU plays at St. John's (Nov. 19) in the Gavitt Games and will square-off against Creighton (Nov. 23) and either Clemson or UMass (Nov. 25) in Las Vegas as part of the MGM Grand Main Event. The Scarlet Knights will also travel to the nation's capital to play George Washington (Dec. 12).
Non-conference home games also include Rutgers-Newark (Nov. 13), Howard (Nov. 15), Central Arkansas (Nov. 21), Central Conn. State (Dec. 8), Monmouth (Dec. 20), Fairleigh Dickinson (Dec. 23) and UMass-Lowell (Dec. 28).
In Big Ten Conference action, Rutgers has home-and-home meetings with Michigan State, Ohio State, Illinois, Minnesota and Nebraska. The Scarlet Knights also welcome Indiana, Iowa, Penn State and Purdue to the RAC. On the road in Big Ten play in 2015-16, Rutgers travels to Maryland, Michigan, Northwestern and Wisconsin.
Season tickets go on sale Monday (August 24) and are $738.00 in the 100 level (plus Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund seat gift) and $450.00 for the 200 level. The SASF seat gift for the 100 level ranges from $275.00 to $525.00, depending on location. Faculty, youth and senior citizens receive a special rate of $684.00 in the 100 level and $306.00 in the 200 level.
Season ticket holders can purchase their seats in two equal installments via a payment plan, with 50 percent due by Sept. 18 and the final amount by Oct. 9. Season tickets provide considerable savings as compared to single-game prices. Season ticket holders will also have the opportunity to buy additional single-game tickets before they are made available to the general public.

Dates and times for Big Ten games, as well as complete information on the entire schedule, including television designations, will be announced at a later date. The schedule is subject to change.
