Big Ten Men's Hoops Schedule Announced

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Big Ten Conference tonight announced the 2015-16 men's basketball schedule live on BTN. The Scarlet Knights will host nine league foes at the RAC, including five that earned NCAA tournament berths last season, as part of an 18-game conference slate.
Rutgers opens its Big Ten schedule by hosting NCAA tournament qualifier Indiana on Wednesday, Dec. 30. Other teams arriving on the heels of NCAA berths are Purdue (Jan. 18), Iowa (Jan. 21), Ohio State (Feb. 13) and Final Four participant Michigan State (March 2). Nebraska (Jan. 9), Illinois (Feb. 3), Penn State (Feb. 20) and Minnesota (March 5) will also arrive in Piscataway this winter.
The Scarlet Knights begin their Big Ten road campaign at national finalist Wisconsin (Jan. 2), before playing at Maryland (Jan. 6), Ohio State (Jan. 13), Michigan (Jan. 27), Michigan State (Jan. 31), Nebraska (Feb. 6), Illinois (Feb. 16), Minnesota (Feb. 23) and Northwestern (Feb. 27).
During the non-conference slate, Rutgers hosts Wake Forest (7 p.m., Nov. 30, ESPNU) in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge and Seton Hall (12 noon, Dec. 5, ESPNEWS) in the Garden State Hardwood Classic. On the road in non-league play, RU plays at St. John's (Nov. 19, FS1) in the Gavitt Games and will square-off against Creighton (Nov. 23) and either Clemson or UMass (Nov. 25) in Las Vegas as part of the Men Who Speak Up Main Event. The Scarlet Knights will also travel to the nation's capital to play George Washington (Dec. 12).
Non-conference home games also include Rutgers-Newark (Nov. 13), Howard (Nov. 15), Central Arkansas (Nov. 21), Central Conn. State (Dec. 8), Monmouth (Dec. 20), Fairleigh Dickinson (Dec. 23) and UMass-Lowell (Dec. 28).
Season tickets are $738.00 in the 100 level (plus Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund seat gift) and $450.00 for the 200 level. The SASF seat gift for the 100 level ranges from $275.00 to $525.00, depending on location. Faculty, youth and senior citizens receive a special rate of $684.00 in the 100 level and $306.00 in the 200 level.
Season ticket holders can purchase their seats in two equal installments via a payment plan, with 50 percent due by Sept. 18 and the final amount by Oct. 9. Season tickets provide considerable savings as compared to single-game prices. Season ticket holders will also have the opportunity to buy additional single-game tickets before they are made available to the general public.
