
Men's Cross Country Travels to IC4A Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers men's cross country continues its season when it competes at the IC4A Championships Saturday afternoon at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. The 8,000m event begins at 11:30 a.m. ET.
The Scarlet Knights enter the championship meet currently 11th in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mid-Atlantic Regional poll. At last year's IC4A Championships, RU finished second as a team with a mark of 2:12.16, the best result for the Scarlet Knights at the event in more than 15 years.
At last year's event, Conor Murphy and Trent Brinkofski both landed on the All-East University Division team for their performances, finishing 10th and 16th, respectively.
In its last time out, Rutgers placed 10th at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships on November 11 in University Park, Pennsylvania. Murphy finished 47th overall to lead the Scarlet Knights at the Blue and White Golf Course. Murphy ended the race with a time of 31:43 and produced an average mile of 5:07. Classmate Dominick Munson placed 53rd with a mark of 31:54, while junior Luke Wiley concluded 54th with a result of 31:54.
