Men's Cross Country Finishes Third at IC4A Championships

BRONX, N.Y. - Rutgers men's cross country finished third at the IC4A Championships Saturday afternoon in the Bronx. The Scarlet Knights produced a team time of 2:12.13 to secure their impressive finish at Van Cortlandt Park.
Northeastern captured the team title with a time of 2:11.03 and Fordham finished second with a mark of 2:12.20.
Sophomore Conor Murphy led the way for RU, finishing 10th with a time of 26:08. Junior Trent Brinkofski followed with a 15th-place result of 26:12, while sophomore Dominick Munson added a 17th-place time of 26:25.
Juniors Alexander Livernois (24th, 26:41) and Luke Wiley (29th, 26:47) also contributed to the team total at the championship event.
For their efforts, Brinkofski, Livernois, Munson, and Murphy were all named All-East University performers.
That concludes the season for Rutgers, who competed in seven meets this year to close the 2016 campaign.
