
Men's Golf Tied for Seventh at Seahawk Intercollegiate

WILMINGTON, N.C. - Rutgers men's golf finished round one of the Seahawk Intercollegiate Sunday afternoon at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C. The Scarlet Knights currently sit tied for seventh with a 296 team scorecard.
Due to inclement weather, the tournament will now consist of just one more round tomorrow. The intercollegiate was originally scheduled for 54 holes.
Duke leads the field with a 280 team mark, while Army West Point is in second with a 281. Host UNC Wilmington is in third with a 286.
Junior Michael Howe (Temecula, Calif.) leads RU with a one-under-par scorecard after shooting an opening-round 71. Howe had five birdies during the first round, tied for third in the field in that category.
Tied for 25th after the first round, senior Louis Bodine (Flemington, N.J.) shot a one-over-par 73. Bodine had 15 pars in the opening round, tied for second out of all competitors.
Sophomores Toks Pedro (Lagos, Nigeria) and Matt Holuta (Indiana, Pa.) are tied for 49th with four-over-par 76 scores, while senior Jonathan Chang (Valencia, Calif.) rounded out the team total tied for 62nd.
Competing as an individual, junior Ryan Rose (Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J.) is also tied for 62nd.
Rutgers will finish up at the Seahawk Intercollegiate tomorrow morning, beginning with an 8:00 a.m. tee time.
