Men's Golf Finishes Seventh at Seahawk Intercollegiate

Final Team Results | Final Individual Results | Tournament Stat Leaders WILMINGTON, N.C. - Rutgers men's golf wrapped up play Monday afternoon at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C. The Scarlet Knights tied for seventh in the 14-team field with a 20-over-par team scorecard of 596.
Duke captured the team title with a 562 scorecard, followed by host UNC-Wilmington with a 569. Duke's Matt Oshrine collected the individual title with a seven-under par, two-round score of 137.
Improving on his first-round score by one stroke, senior Louis Bodine (Flemington, N.J.) led RU with a one-over-par 145 (73-72) to finish tied for 16th. Bodine led Rutgers with 25 pars, tied for fifth-most in the entire tournament.
Junior Michael Howe (Temecula, Calif.) also placed within the top-30 of competitors, carding a three-over par 147 (71-76) to finish tied for 27th.
After shooting an opening round 76, sophomore Toks Pedro (Lagos, Nigeria) produced a three-over-par 75 to finish with a two-round total of 151, tied for 42nd. Pedro had an eagle during the tournament and contributed 24 pars over the course of two rounds.
Both sophomore Matt Holuta (Indiana, Pa.) and senior Jonathan Chang (Valencia, Calif.) finished tied for 49th (76-77-153) and 66th (78-79-157), respectively. Chang had seven birdies during the two-round tournament to lead RU in that category.
Competing as an individual, junior Chase Wheatley (Corona del Mar, Calif.) shot a 12-over-par 156 (79-77) to close out play.
Rutgers returns to play on April 9-10, when it competes in the Princeton Invitational.
