RU'S LAST TIME OUT
Rutgers (3-1, 0-0 Big Ten) opened the season at the Bryant Hampton Inn-vitational, picking up sweeps of Hartford and Bryant, a four-set win over Rider and a lone loss to St. John's. The Scarlet Knights finished the weekend as tournament champions.

SCOUTING IONA
Iona (0-4, 0-0 MAAC) looks to snap a four-game skid to open 2016. The Gaels suffered losses to Central Connecticut, Fordham and Lehigh at the CCSU Invite last weekend and St. John's at home on Tuesday night. Claire Archibald, a 2015 MAAC all-rookie team selection, leads the team with 3.07 kills, along with second on the squad with 3.14 digs per set.
In the lone meeting between the teams in 2012, Rutgers earned a 3-0 victory over Iona.
SCOUTING ALBANY
Albany (0-3, 0-0), runner-up in the last two America East title matches, got off to a slow start in 2016 after dropping contests to New Mexico State, UNLV and UC Santa Barbara last weekend. Despite the losses, Nicole Otero posted 64 digs across 11 sets to earn America East Defensive Specialist of the Week. Also returning to the roster is the 2015 America East Co-Player of the Year, Laini Leindecker.
Rutgers and Albany met last season, where the Great Danes claimed a four-set win over the Scarlet Knights. Meme Fletcher led RU in the contest with a match-high 16 kills.
SCOUTING YALE
Yale enters its first weekend of play, coming off a record of 15-9 overall and 9-5 in the Ivy League last season. The Bulldogs have won five of the last six Ivy League titles, narrowly missing their sixth straight conference title in 2015 by finishing third in the league behind a two-way tie for first. The Yale roster boasts All-Ivy Second Team selection, Kelley Wirth, who led the squad with 2.98 kills per set and 253 total kills as a rookie.
Rutgers holds a 7-2 lead in the all-time series with Yale. The teams most recently met last season, where the Bulldogs captured a 3-1 victory in the match. Lauren Cloyd finished second on the stat sheet with 10 kills in the contest.
