No. 22 Women's Soccer Draws Against Illinois

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - No. 22 Rutgers women's soccer played Illinois to a scoreless draw Sunday afternoon at Yurcak Field. The Scarlet Knights move to 7-1-2 overall and 2-0-1 in Big Ten Conference action.
RU notched its sixth consecutive clean sheet, holding the Fighting Illini (3-8-1, 0-3-1) to just four shots and none on goal. Goalkeeper Alana Jimenez lowered her goals-against average to 0.39 on the season.
Seniors Jennifer Andresen and Tori Prager and junior Colby Ciarrocca lead RU with two shots apiece. Illinois goalkeeper Claire Wheatley made five saves.
The Scarlet Knights play six of their final eight matches on the road, beginning with a trip to Michigan next weekend. Rutgers faces the Wolverines on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 7:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network before trekking to play Michigan State on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m.
GAME NOTES
