UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (Nov. 4, 2017) – Rutgers volleyball traveled to the No. 1 ranked team in the nation on Saturday evening, falling in straight sets at Penn State's Rec Hall. PSU won by set scores of 25-9, 25-9, 25-12.
For the Scarlet Knights (5-21, 0-14), the trip to the Nittany Lions (23-1, 13-1) comes during a stretch of seven of their final nine matches against AVCA Top 25 opponents. No. 1 Penn State used a .567 hitting percentage, 42 kills, 12 aces and nine blocks to win its 13
th straight match while bolstering its nation-leading attack percentage numbers.
RU was strong at middle blocker on Saturday as they received six kills from sophomore

Stasa Miljevic posted four on a team-high errorless .667 hitting clip. The two also combined for four of Rutgers' 10 total blocks.

Beka Kojadinovic. PSU took the lead back at 7-6 during a 4-0 run, but Rutgers kept it close at 9-8 with Miljevic notching a kill-block combo on back-to-back points.
The Nittany Lions took control with a 10-1 stint before setting up a 24-11 lead. Stackhouse saved one match point with her team-leading sixth kill of the match before Penn State closed out the evening.
The Scarlet Knights return home to host its first Big Ten midweek match of the season on Wednesday, Nov. 8 against Ohio State. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the College Ave. Gym on Youth Girls Night
