PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers men's cross country was recognized as a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team for the 2016 season.
RU was among the 189 men's programs that earned all-academic team accolades. To qualify, teams must carry at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
The team, comprised of Trent Brinkofski, Andrew Comito, Ryan Gross, Alexander Livernois, Dominick Munson, Conor Murphy, Nicholas Price, Nicholas Pschunder, Jason Schweizer and Luke Wiley finished with a cumulative grade point average of 3.37.
Rutgers wrapped up the 2016 campaign with its third-place finish at the IC4A Championships last November, as Brinkofski, Livernois, Munson, and Murphy were all named All-East University performers. The Scarlet Knights also placed second at the Metropolitan Championships, their best finish in the last seven years in the event.
