PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Aug. 31, 2017) – In response to the relief efforts to assist the victims of Hurricane Harvey, Rutgers Athletics will set up donation areas throughout High Point Solutions Stadium prior to the Scarlet Knights' Sept. 1 football game against Washington at 8 p.m. Fans are encouraged to drop-off new or gently used clothing and shoes at donation bins set up at the North, South, East and West gates into the stadium.
"Our heart goes out to the countless individuals who have suffered loss as a result of Hurricane Harvey," said Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Pat Hobbs. "Everyone here in New Jersey understands full well the challenges those folks in Texas are dealing with. It is important that we come together to support the affected communities."
Rutgers Athletics will partner with colleagues in the University of Houston Athletic Department to coordinate the distribution efforts in Texas communities.
