PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The No. 25/21 Rutgers women's basketball team returns home Sunday to host Nebraska with tipoff set for 6 p.m. The game will streamed on BTN Plus with Lou Brogno and Patrick Boyle providing the action and will also air on the Rutgers IMG Radio Network with Ralph Bednarczyk and Mark Peterson on the call.

BATTLE OF THE MOST IMPROVED TEAMS
The Scarlet Knights and Huskers are vying to become the nation's most improved team as both squads have dramatically turned the page from last season. RU which ended 2016-17 at 6-24 matched last year's win total in December and already picked up 11 more wins than a year ago. Nebraska, meanwhile, played to a 7-22 record last year and comes to the RAC with six more wins and a 13-6 record with 10 games to go, including Sunday's contest.
Rutgers will be looking to put behind Thursday's 70-67 setback at Penn State. The Scarlet Knights roared back from a 10-point fourth quarter deficit and held a one-point lead with 39 seconds to go. Penn State, however, went to the line in the final second of the contest to hit 4-of-5 attempts for the win.
Redshirt junior forward Stasha Carey collected her second-straight double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Junior KK Sanders had a season-high 14 points, while redshirt junior guard Tyler Scaife poured in eight of her 10 points in the fourth quarter.
ABOUT NEBRASKA
The Cornhuskers come to the East Coast with a 13-6 overall mark and 4-2 record in Big Ten play and will be facing their third-straight Top 25 opponent in the Scarlet Knights.
Nebraska has been winners in four of their last five games with the lone setback being a 69-64 overtime loss to No. 23 Michigan last Saturday. The Huskers rebounded though with a 74-65 upset of No. 20 Iowa on Tuesday night.
Four Cornhuskers are averaging double figures led by sophomore guard Hannah Whitish at 14.0 points per game. Whitish is third in the Big Ten in assists averaging 5.3 helpers per game and is ninth in the conference in 3-point shooting connecting at .398 percent.
Freshman guard/forward Taylor Kissinger checks into Sunday's contest at 11.8 points per game, while junior forward Maddie Simon is averaging 10.9 points per outing along with a team second-best 5.8 rebounds per game.
Rounding out the double-figure scorers is freshman center Kate Cain at 10.7 points per contest while also hauling in a team-leading 6.8 rebounds per game. Cain leads the Big Ten in blocks with 3.6 rejections per contest and is sixth in the league in shooting hitting at a .578 clip.
Nebraska also ranks third in the conference in field goal defense limiting the opposition to shooting .370 from the floor. The Huskers rank right behind Rutgers in blocks averaging 5.4 per contest.
BACK IN THE TOP 25
Rutgers has returned back to the Top 25 for the first time since the 2014-15 season.
The Scarlet Knights cracked the top 25 of the Associated Press Poll in the week nine poll on Jan. 8 checking in at No. 21. It was RU's first appearance in the AP's rankings since March 2, 2015.
Rutgers came in at No. 25 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll on week eight on Jan. 2 and has ranked as high as No. 19. It was the Scarlet Knights first appearance since ranking at No. 23 in the final poll of the 2014-15 season.
TOP 16 REVEAL
The NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee provided the first of three regular season top-16 rankings in seed order on Thursday evening with the Scarlet Knights listed at No. 15.
The Jan. 18 ranking is the first of three top-16 rankings that will be revealed by the committee during the 2017-18 regular season. In addition, two other top-16 reveals are scheduled this season to take place on Thurs., February 1 and Monday, Feb. 19.

STRINGER MILESTONE NUMBERS TO REMEMBER
Rutgers head coach Stringer has compiled a 994-394 career record in 47 seasons and is six wins away from joining the elite 1,000 career victories club in women's basketball.
Stringer's 34 20-win seasons are second-best in women's basketball history. Former Tennessee head coach Pat Summit leads all coaches with 36 20-win seasons.
SCAIFE MILESTONE NUMBERS TO REMEMBER
Tyler Scaife's game-high 24 points in 23 minutes against Princeton on Dec. 13 propelled the redshirt senior into third place on the Rutgers all-time scoring leader list past former teammate Kahleah Copper (2012-16).
In the next game on Dec. 16, Scaife's steal leading to behind the back bucket that was featured on ESPNW's Top Ten Plays of the Week, pushed her past the 1,900 career point mark.
With nine points at Purdue last Wednesday, Scaife became the third Scarlet Knight to collect over 2,000 career points joining Rutgers greats Sue Wicks and Cappie Pondexter in the club.
Scaife currently needs 170 more to move into second place on the all-time list past Cappie Pondexter (2002-2006).
Scaife has scored 431 points this season and kicked off the 2017-18 campaign 10th all-time in scoring.

In addition to having a double-double against the Lady Lions on Thursday night, redshirt junior forward Stasha Carey set a new career-high with six steals.
Carey's six thefts also tied for the most by a Scarlet Knight player this season. Junior center Victoria Harris had six steals in last week's contest at Purdue.
HAULING GLASS
Junior forward Caitlin Jenkins has been a monster on the boards for the Scarlet Knights this season. She is not only averaging a team-leading 7.7 rebounds per game, ranking her 12th in the Big Ten, but has registered double digit rebounds in eight contests this season.
Most recently, Jenkins grabbed 11 rebounds in RU's setback at Penn State on Jan. 18, her highest total since grabbing 10 in the Scarlet Knights home win over Illinois on Jan. 2.
Redshirt junior Stasha Carey has also been a force to be reckon with on the glass most recently grabbing 14 rebounds in RU's overtime win over Minnesota on Jan. 18. She sits right behind Jenkins in the Big Ten stats checking in at 13th in rebounding in the league.
Carey hauled in a season-high 15 rebounds in the Dec. 8 victory over Seton Hall.
Prior to the meeting with the Pirates, the Cleveland, Ohio native hauled in nine boards in three-straight games with Siena, Virginia and Seton Hall.
Carey has grabbed eight or more rebounds in 10 of the last 15 contests and is averaging 10.5 rebounds over the last four contests.
DOUBLE DOWN
Three Scarlet Knights have captured double-doubles on the season - junior forward Caitlin Jenkins, redshirt junior Stasha Carey and junior center Victoria Harris.
Redshirt junior Stasha Carey was the latest Scarlet Knight to accomplish the feat posting back-to-back double figure scoring and rebounding contests against Minnesota and Penn State.
Her third double-double of the season came on Thursday night at Penn State with 10 points and 11 boards, while in the previous game with Minnesota she captured a seas-high 25 points and 14 rebounds in an 80-70 overtime win against the Golden Gophers on Jan. 13.
Carey had her first Scarlet Knight double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds in a 70-45 win over Seton Hall on Dec. 8.
The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native now has 16 career double-double having accomplished the feat 13 times in her first two seasons at Pittsburgh.

Carey has grabbed eight or more rebounds in 10 of the last 15 contests and is averaging 10.5 rebounds over the last four contests.
DOUBLE DOWN
Three Scarlet Knights have captured double-doubles on the season - junior forward Caitlin Jenkins, redshirt junior Stasha Carey and junior center Victoria Harris.
Redshirt junior Stasha Carey was the latest Scarlet Knight to accomplish the feat posting back-to-back double figure scoring and rebounding contests against Minnesota and Penn State.
Her third double-double of the season came on Thursday night at Penn State with 10 points and 11 boards, while in the previous game with Minnesota she captured a seas-high 25 points and 14 rebounds in an 80-70 overtime win against the Golden Gophers on Jan. 13.
Carey had her first Scarlet Knight double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds in a 70-45 win over Seton Hall on Dec. 8.
The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native now has 16 career double-double having accomplished the feat 13 times in her first two seasons at Pittsburgh.
