Men’s Basketball Promotional Calendar Announced

PISCATAWAY – Rutgers Athletics today announced its men's basketball promotional calendar to enhance the game day experience at the RAC in 2018-19. Fans have the opportunity to support the Scarlet Knights 17 times, comprised of 10 conference contests, as well as multiple games against regional hardwood foes.
Among the unique promotions are "New Jersey Night" versus Northwestern on Jan. 18 and "Central Jersey Awareness Night" against Minnesota on Feb. 24. Versus the Wildcats, fans will choose between a North Jersey, Central Jersey, or South Jersey cap at the door. Against the Golden Gophers, fans will decide if Central Jersey exists by choosing between a "Central Jersey Exists" and "Central Jersey Doesn't Exist" shirt upon entry. In addition, Jan. 9 versus Ohio State will be "R B1G Build Night, with fans given the opportunity to write a note to be buried in a time capsule at the RWJBarnabas Health Athletic Performance Center site.
Giveaway items include a refrigerator magnet of the new court, ugly sweater blankets, and camouflage caps on Military Appreciation Night.
The game against Boston University on Nov. 23 will feature the annual halftime teddy bear toss. All fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently used teddy bear to the game to throw on the court during halftime. Rutgers Athletics and Rutgers SAAC (Student Athletic Advisory Committee) will donate all of the teddy bears to a local children in need.
Numerous student promotions are featured throughout the winter. Among them are "Thanksgiving Break at the RAC" and "Winter Break at the RAC," which enable students with a valid Rutgers identification to bring up to two free guests in the student section. Student admission is always free with a valid Rutgers ID.
