Women's Basketball Announces 2018-19 Promotional Calendar

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - A number of promotions and giveaways including schedule magnets, north, central and south jersey hats, concession deals, poker chips, time capsule messages, ugly blankets, camo hats, Scarlet Knights mascot socks and pink t-shirts are among the promotions coming to the RAC for the 2018-19 women's basketball season.
The 2018-19 season starts off with Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Night when the Scarlet Knights host St.Francis (Pa.) in their home opener on November 6. All fans will receive a 2018-19 schedule magnet and poster, and all season ticket holders will be able to use their season ticket holder concession card for a free edible cookie dough sundae.
Scarlet Knights fans have the chance to participate in New Jersey Night on November 18 when Rutgers takes on Albany by representing which part of New Jersey they are from with north, central and south jersey hats.
Rutgers will host Casino Night on Saturday, December 15 at the contest against LSU. There will be five casino tables in the lobby of the RAC and all casino games will be free.
Military Appreciation Day will be on January 20 when Rutgers hosts Michigan State. Fans will receive a camo hat and have the opportunity to donate tickets to active-duty and veteran members of the armed forces.
During the match up with Indiana on January 31, Rutgers will host R Big Build night giving fans a chance to write messages on block R note paper and put them in a time capsule that will be opened at a future game for all fans to read.
The annual Play4Kay game will be held on February 10 when Rutgers takes the court against Maryland. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and a number of lucky fans will receive pink t-shirts as part of a giveaway. Additionally, with every hotdog purchased, Sodexo will donate $1 to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Halftime performances and entertainment include Drums of Thunder, Jessica Haas the speed painter, Mutts Gone Nutts, the Junior Knights Dance Team, the Special Olympics game, and both the cheer and dance teams performing their nationals routines.
Also included in halftime entertainment is the SAAC Teddy Bear Toss where fans can participate by bringing a new or gently used teddy bear to the game to throw on the court at halftime. Rutgers Athletics and the Rutgers SAAC (Student Athletic Advisory Committee) will donate the teddy bears to local children in need.
At the home finale against Minnesota on February 28, one lucky fan will have the chance to participate in the halftime event "Find The Money" where they will crawl around the court blindfolded trying to find two $100 bills on the court with the help of the crowd.
