NCAA Champion coxswain joins Scarlet Knights coaching staff
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Rutgers head women's rowing coach Justin Price announced the hiring of Sarah Jordan as an assistant coach to his staff.
"Sarah's experience and attitude make her a natural fit for our team and culture," said Price. "As a former NCAA champion, she understands what it takes to achieve the highest standard of athletic excellence. Having competed as a coxswain, she brings a unique perspective to our coaching staff that will be valuable as we work to take this program to new heights."
Sarah arrives "On the Banks" after serving as rowing coach at Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Flourtown, Pa.
A 2014 graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in sociology, Jordan was a letterwinner on the Cavaliers' 2012 NCAA National Championship team, as well as four consecutive ACC title squads. She earned First Team CRCA All-South Region and All-ACC honors as both a junior and senior and was coxswain for the ACC Crew of the Year as both a junior and senior. After graduating from Virginia, Jordan continued her coxswain career at U23 Selection before beginning her coaching career.
