Women's Basketball To Meet #10/9 Maryland on Sunday

Scarlet Knights Close Out Season Series With Terps at Noon on BTN
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - he Rutgers women's basketball team will close out the season series with No. 9/10 Maryland, a team the Scarlet Knights matched up with just 10 days ago, on Sunday at the RAC at noon on BTN with Jason Horowitz and Christy Winters-Scott on the call. Fans can also tune into the Rutgers IMG Radio Network with game action provided by Ralph Bednarczyk and Mark Peterson.

The Terrapins will be the fourth-straight nationally-ranked program RU has face since entering the month of February.
The Scarlet Knights are looking to put behind them a 90-68 setback to No. 13/13 Ohio State on Thursday night. RU was unable to withstand a Buckeye offense shooting 56.1 percent from the field, 50.0 percent from 3- point range and 83.3 percent from the line.
Redshirt senior guard Tyler Scaife led Rutgers with 27 points, a season-high seven rebounds and four assists. Senior guard Jazlynd Rollins came off the bench for a season-high 14 points. Junior center Victoria Harris, meanwhile, grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds in the loss.
ABOUT MARYLAND
No. 10/9 Maryland picked up wins over Nebraska and Michigan State on the road since last meeting the Scarlet Knights and comes to Piscataway with a 21-3 overall and 10-1 Big Ten mark. The Terps have won six-straight contests and are winners in 19 of their last 20 games.
Sophomore guard Kaila Charles, who had game-high 22 points in the first meeting with Rutgers, continues to lead Maryland with 18.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
Junior guard/forward Eleanna Christinaki is pouring 13.5 points per contest, with sophomore forward Stephanie Jones contributing 11.5 points and junior forward Brianna Fraser coming off the bench for 10.3 points.
The Terps hold the Big Ten's highest scoring margin, winning games by an average of 21.7 points per game. Additionally, Maryland leads the league in rebounding offense hauling in an average of 44.0 boards on the offensive glass.
STRINGER MILESTONE NUMBERS TO REMEMBER
Rutgers head coach Stringer has compiled a 995-398 career record in 47 seasons and is five wins away from joining the elite 1,000 career victories club in women's basketball.
Stringer's 34 20-win seasons are second-best in women's basketball history. Former Tennessee head coach Pat Summit leads all coaches with 36 20-win seasons.
SCAIFE MILESTONE NUMBERS TO REMEMBER
Tyler Scaife currently needs 93 more to move into second place on the all-time list past Cappie Pondexter (2002-2006).
Scaife has scored 508 points this season and kicked off the 2017-18 campaign 10th all-time in scoring.

Last Sunday's game with Michigan put the Big Ten's top two defenses against each other. Rutgers came out on top 63-56 holding the Wolverines to their lowest point total in Big Ten play.
