Women's T/F Closes Indoor Season With ECAC Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's track and field team is off to Boston, Massachusetts for the final indoor meet of the season as the Scarlet Knights compete at the 2018 ECAC Indoor Championships.
LAST TIME AT THE ECAC INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Rutgers women's indoor track & field team ended the 2017 indoor season with Bria Saunders named the ECAC Indoor Championships Most Outstanding Performer with silver in both the 60m and 200m and Bryanna Grant setting a new school record in the triple jump.
Additionally, the Scarlet Knights also brought home a pair of bronze medals by Phyllis Gordon in the 400m and Sarah Robbie in the 800m.
Rutgers finished in sixth place among the 44-team field at the championships with the Scarlet Knights racking up 38 points

Oniesha Clarke
Clarke is coming off her fourth place 60m Big Ten Indoor Championship performance last week. The Waterbury, Connecticut native finished with a time of 7.44 in the finals, after posting a PR of 7.43 in preliminaries the day before. Her preliminary time was also the third fastest time in the Rutgers record book.
In the long jump, the Scarlet Knight reached a personal best of 5.78m (18' 11.75") this season in winning the Metropolitan Indoor Championship title and more recently was the runner up in the event at the Valentine's Invitational.
Bryanna Grant
A year ago at the ECAC Championships, Grant set the new indoor benchmark in the triple jump. Grant ended the 2017 season with her fourth triple jump title of the year and Rutgers record of 12.62m (41' 5"), surpassing the previous record of 12.58m (41' 3.25") set by Nwamaka Okobi at the New Balance Invitational in 2012.
This season Grant claimed her third-straight Metropolitan Indoor triple jump title and reached a season-best 12.18m (39' 11.5") with her third place finish at the Red Raider Invitational.
Sarah Robbie
A season ago, Robbie placed third in the 800m with her best indoor time to date of 2:09.76. The Marlton, New Jersey local was the runner-up in the 800m at this year's Metropolitan Indoor Championships and won the event at the Towson Tiger Invitational to open the indoor season.
Brianna Haspel
Haspel posted a PR of 2:53.21 at last year's ECAC Championships in the 1000m. This season, the Lincroft, New Jersey product placed fourth at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships.
