Women's T/F Sets Off For USF Bulls Invitational

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's outdoor track and field team will be among the 24 teams making their way to Tampa, Florida for the Bulls Invitational hosted by USF this weekend.
LAST YEAR AT THE BULLS INVITATIONS
Rutgers captured 17 top 10 performances at the 2017 Bulls Invitational with the 200m title going to Bria Saunders and runner-up performances by Phyllis Gordon in the 400m and former Scarlet Knights Paige Senatore in the 1500m and Katherine Johnston in the javelin.
Also joining Gordon in the top 10 of last year's 400m were Sarah Robbie and Jenna Sobieski, who set a PR in the event.
Other notable finishes for the Scarlet Knights on the track included a fifth place finish for Alexandra Juzwiak in the 5000m, as well as a new personal benchmark for junior Oksana Sokolova in the 200m, in addition to a fifth place showing in the long jump.
LAST TIME OUT
The Rutgers women's track and field team captured nine top ten performances, with five coming from Scarlet Knights making their outdoor debuts, in the first outdoor meet of the 2018 season at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
The Scarlet Knights saw five members of the jumps squad land in the top ten led by runner-up freshman Courteney Campbell in the high jump and fifth-year senior Bryanna Grant taking third in the triple jump.
Grant reached a distance of 12.41m (40' 8.75") in the triple jump marking her best outdoor distance at Rutgers and ranks as the top triple jump in the Big Ten, sixth in the East Region and 10th nationally.
Campbell, meanwhile, made her first outdoor appearance as a Scarlet Knight clearing the bar at 1.70m (5' 7") for a second place finish. Her height is currently sixth among Big Ten high jumpers and 13th in the East Region.
