WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rutgers gymnastics posted a 193.550 Sunday at George Washington to complete a two-meet weekend. The Scarlet Knights performed best on balance beam with a 48.875, as the team also competed at Towson on Friday night. The host Colonials took first in the quad meet with a 196.825, while Maryland totaled a 195.825 and Towson a 195.250.

Starting off on balance beam, sophomore
Erin McLachlan posted a career-high 9.875 to lead the Scarlet Knight to a 48.875. Freshman
Belle Huang followed with a 9.825 for her fourth score on the event of at least 9.800 as a rookie, while senior
Makenzey Shank reached at least that mark for the sixth-straight meet. Junior
Michelle Amoresano picked up a 9.700 to contribute to the team score.

Jenna Rizkalla and Shank led the floor exercise rotation with pair of 9.800 performances on the way to a 48.525. That led to a 48.350 on vault. Freshman
Toni Williams paced the lineup with a 9.775 and Amoresano brought in a 9.725.

RU finished up on uneven bars and scored a 47.800. Amoresano had a personal-best 9.825 routine.

The Scarlet Knights will return to the road next Sunday to take part in a quad meet at Temple with Eastern Michigan and Lindenwood. It will be the final competition before hosting a Big Five meet at the RAC on March 17.
